In my opinion, Non-fiction provides poeple a lot of funny and moving. so people are interested in reading non-fiction. Through non-fiction, people easily was deeply touched by its story. In addition, people can feel indirect experience. non-fiction' materials is something rare. It means that although people didn't experience or feel directly something, they can have experience by reading non-fiction. So people like to read non-fiction than to do fiction
The author made his point about the article which said that attention of readers has moved non-fiction. He agreed with that non-fiction has utilitarian value, in that, self-help manual in the non-fiction help people learn something. However, he thinks that a utilitarian based reading does not last for a long time, so he suggests that we need to read not only non-fiction but also fiction.I totally agree with him.
