hi when I read this article, I found it interesting but not convincing. because the writer says that non-fiction books make us learn more than fiction books, but I think we can also learn from the non-fiction books creativity and imagination. another thing about fiction books is that they make us as readers live in a different world and moments. non-fiction books are popular as the writer says but this does not mean that fiction books are useless.
This article says, Non-Fiction is more popular than Fiction. Because of self-help, self-improvement. But I think, although, fiction is not attracted by public, it is very useful. There are two reasons for it. First, fiction makes readers do indirect experiences. It is hard to do many kinds of experiences under limited space time and technical reasons. So, If I really want to do, but I'm obliged to give up to try, reading fiction is very helpful. For example, I can be scientist, wizard even male by the fiction books. Second, reading fiction enhances creative ability. Fiction is the product of a fertile imagination. So, I can learn how to imagine about everything. Fiction's imagination can stimulate readers imagination. For these reasons, fiction is as useful as non-fiction. Then, we have to find out how appeal for many readers.
